Not now!!!
"Not now!" - I was almost close to yelling in panic. Why?
We were on our way to a friend's house and Luis suddenly interrogated me about my tummy.
Luis : Mum, is your tummy still big?
Me : Why?
Luis : Is it still biiig??? (this time with a BIG grin on his face)
Me : Umm, (glimpsing quickly if my love handles are showing) .. NO! Do they look big?
Luis : Can you make it big because I want a baby sister?
Me : (Felt like a big thud on my head)... hang on, where did you get the idea? But you already have a baby brother!
Luis : But I want a big sister too!
Me : (Ahh, he wants an "ate")... Oh, you have Ate Jam. (My friend's 10 yo daughter).
Luis : That's too big!
Me : (Ahh, he wants a smaller version of big.. huh?)... Oh, you mean a baby like Cyarra? We can borrow her.
Luis : Nooo, that's still big, Mama. I want a new one.
(Now I get it! My friend is expecting a girl for her 2nd child and her son will always tell Luis, there's my baby sister in the tummy.)
Me : Well, if you really want to have a sister, then you have to pray for Papa Jesus to give us one.
Luis : (without second thoughts)... Papa Jesus, please give.. (but before he can finish it...)
Me : No, no, no Luis. NOT NOW... When Leon is bigger. Okay?
Phew!
